 존 덴버 (John Denver, 1943년12월31일~1997년10월12일)

미국 출신으로 본명은 헨리 존 도이첸도르프 2세(Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr.)이다.

1970년대에 고향을 그리는 <Take Me Home, Country Roads>와

아내에 대한 사랑을 노래한  <Annie's Song>으로 인기를 얻었다.

1982년에는 세계적인 성악가 플라시도 도밍고와 함께 <Perhaps Love>를 불렀으며,

그밖에도 <Rocky Mountain High>, <Sunshine on My Shoulders>, <My Sweet Lady>,

<Love Again>,<Take Me Home, Country Roads> 등을 발표하여 많은 인기를 얻었다.

1997년10월 12일, 경비행기를 조종하다 추락하여 사망하였다.
